Just thinking about them makes me cringe.
You know who I’m on about.
The self-proclaimed coaches and mentors who make out they’re working 2 hours a day, sleeping 2 hours a day, and having sex with Playboy Bunnies the rest of the time.
And you know what? It’s bullshit.
I’m here to tell you the truth. And who knows, maybe I’ll lose potential clients because of it.
But you know what?
You deserve to hear this.
See, my life isn’t all “sunshine and rainbows”. And it’s certainly not sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll like the “gurus” make out.
I mean, at times, it can be the complete opposite.
For one, I’m very up and down.
One day I’m more productive than a colony of ants.
Getting out of bed’s a struggle.
And it’s because of this I ended up getting a gambling addiction.
I remember 3 years ago I just had no motivation for anything. I was personal training at the time. And I remember waking up one day and thinking:
“Is this it?”
I was bored. I had some clients I didn’t like. And I was just floating through life like a lost puppy.
But I wanted more. Much more.
I didn’t wanna have to wake up at 5am every day after going to bed at midnight, because I was with a client until 10.
I didn’t wanna have to worry about paying my bills because I didn’t have a guaranteed income every month.
And I certainly didn’t wanna have to be scared of taking time off to go on holiday, because I wouldn’t get paid.
So I thought “Fuck it. Might as well start gambling.”
At first, it worked out.
Won a few grand early on.
But then, like anyone who gambles long term, I lost it all… and more.
A whole lot more.
Over £15,000 to be precise.
Now, if I’m being honest with you, I didn’t know what to do.
I felt lost.
Didn’t tell anyone; not a soul.
Anyway, the reason I’m telling you this is simple:
I want you to know it’s normal to not always be happy and motivated the whole time.
Sure, the “gurus” say they are. But, like I said, it’s bullshit. They just make out everything’s great so you think “I want their life, myself”, and you then pay them your hard-earned cash for their “high-end coaching”, which is probably just some generic shit they’ve stolen from someone else.
I’ll say it again…
It’s normal to not always feel great. No matter what the “gurus” say.
Now, I imagine there are times where you feel a million bucks… Times where you feel like Julius Caesar, with the world at your feet.
And I bet you get so much shit done during these times.
But am I right in saying you also have moments where you feel crap?
And during these time, do you start to think you’re not normal and that you’re not cut out for this whole entrepreneurship thing?
If you’re anything like I used to be, I bet you do.
But get this:
After investing in the right coaches, and talking to other entrepreneurs, I realized I wasn’t weird at all.
In fact, I learned that most people feel the same. It’s just that 99% of these people never admit to feeling crap. So when YOU feel down, you think you’re alone.
But here’s some breaking news:
Anyway, when I realized this, I started looking at my business in a different way.
“How can I run a fitness business where I have clients I love working with, whilst at the same time charge more money and have systems in place so I can take time off to go on holiday 2 or 3 times a year?”
And that’s when I first discovered direct-response marketing and copywriting.
The thought of being able to write a few emails and a sales letter to attract high-end clients excited me.
I mean, who wouldn’t it excite?
Sure beats walking around the gym floor for hours every week, practically begging for clients like a tramp on the street.
So I got my hands on every podcast…
And every course I could find.
Then, it was time to put everything into practice.
So I put an ad up on Facebook, wrote a short email autoresponder sequence, and put up a sales letter online…
And you know what?
Even though it wasn’t great (heck, looking back, it was pretty shit), I started making nearly twice as much money whilst working half the hours.
Instead of whoring myself out to clients who didn’t respect me, I started attracting people who I’d happily train for free. Only I wasn’t training them for free at all. They were paying me pretty big money.
And having the email sequence and sales letter in place freed up even more time.
Instead of having to do a ton of cold-approaches in the gym where I got rejected time and time again, the sales letter and emails did all the heavy lifting for me. So by the time I spoke with a prospect, they were pretty much already sold.
Anyway, the “gurus” out there will have you believe there’s a magic formula to picking up high-end clients…
A magic formula that only they know.
And they’ll charge you a stupid amount for it.
Of course, it’s not really a magic formula at all. Heck, all they tend to tell you is to make more phone calls and “hustle harder.”
Sure, if you wanna go down that route, that’s cool.
And I’m sure you’ll make more money.
But will you make as much money as you possibly could, all whilst having systems in place so you don’t have to carry on making cold-approaches on the gym floor and getting rejected all the time?
If, however, you want to get clients applying to work with you all day long without doing any extra work (heck, they’ll even apply whilst you’re sleeping), then get in touch with me and we’ll have a chat on the phone.
I promise you:
It won’t be a typical guru “strategy call” where they give you zero value and just pitch the whole time.
Instead, I’ll actually tell you how to structure your business to attract high-end clients for FREE.
First, to say a big “fuck you” to the gurus who wanna charge you a stupid amount of money for it.
And second, because I wanna blow you away so much, that you’ll see investing in my copywriting services as a no-brainer.
So if you wanna more than double your income, whilst not having to waste your time getting rejected time after time on the gym floor, then email me at:
We’ll have a little chat by email, and then, if you’re happy to, we’ll arrange a time to talk on the phone.
All the best,
PS- One of the biggest reasons why I fell in love with copywriting, was because I hated selling on the phone (or face-to-face).
I was crap at it.
So you can be sure I won’t go down the “guru” route and give you a hard sales pitch.
(And I certainly won’t tell you to go into debt or borrow money from your friends and family like those wankers do.)
Anyway, after talking, if you don’t wanna hire me to write your copy, that’s cool.
Like I say, you’ll still get an absolute ton of value from our talk.
Though if you want me to write a powerful sales letter and/or email sequence for you so you get new clients almost on auto-pilot (even during those times where you can’t be assed to get out of bed), then the option’s always there.
